Aletheia

Talk it through with someone who tells you the truth.

Aletheia is a voice you talk to. She helps you see what's really going on, think it through and say it so it lands. Then she plays the other person so you can rehearse.

What would you use her for? (optional)

One email when early access opens. Nothing else, and you can leave any time. See our privacy notice.

Every conversation moves your radar. It shows how you see, think and speak.

You know the moment.

  • The perfect answer arrives two hours after the meeting.
  • You said yes to something you meant to turn down.
  • You were right, and you still lost the argument.
  • You've replayed a conversation in your head more times than it lasted.

See, think, then say.

Every hard conversation comes down to three questions, in order. Most people skip the middle one.

  1. See

What is really going on, and what does each person want?

Aletheia asks the questions that bring the situation into focus.

  2. Think

What is true, and what do I actually want?

She separates facts from assumptions and points out when an argument doesn't hold.

  3. Say

How do I say it so it works?

You rehearse out loud while she plays the other side, then you try again.

At the centre: how you talk to yourself.
The voice in your head shapes all three. Aletheia notices when it's working against you.

How it works

You talk
No menus or exercises to pick from. You open the app and tell her what's on your mind: a meeting tomorrow, a decision, a conversation that went wrong.
She plays the part
Your manager, a tough client, the person you're negotiating with. She says who she's playing, stays in character, then steps out to tell you how it went.
One thing to fix
One thing you did well and one thing to improve, with the exact moment it happened. You redo that part, not the whole conversation.
She remembers
Next time she asks how the meeting went, and picks up where you left off.

What she won't do

Her name is the Greek word for truth, so she starts with herself.

  • Teach you to spot liars from their body language. The research says people do barely better than chance.
  • Hand you positive affirmations. For people with low self-esteem they can backfire.
  • Listen to anyone but you. She only processes what you say to her.
  • Let you talk forever. Short, regular sessions build skill better than marathons, so practice comes in measured sessions and you always see how much you've used.

Be one of the first to talk to her.
